Style & Comfort in One

I have been in search for the BEST – read: comfiest, prettiest, cheapest – maxi dress for a few months now, and nothing has ever caught my attention, until my second day in Cebu. This pretty dress was alone in a rack; it was the only stock (of its kind) available in one of the stalls in Park Mall, and I just grabbed hold of it and never let go the moment I laid my eyes on it. It has the prettiest shade of pink, softest fabric and fits me perfectly it seems it was custom-tailored in my size. The lady at the stall said this dress has been lying on their pile for weeks now, so I got a hefty discount for it. Oh, now it feels like it really is for me.

I paired this dress with this denim jacket to put a contrast to its soft flow and cover the dress’ tight hug on my body. This look is such a great combination of style and comfort. I wore this the entire day, from working with our final yearbook layout to strolling around the mall, and I could never have felt more comfortable.

Pops of Colors

Hello from Cebu!

This one's my first destination post (if there ever is such). Travelling for hours from Dumaguete to Cebu is so exhausting and is a real pain in the behind (literally!). With this in mind then, I opted to wear this loose striped blouse and this old pair of jeggings. 

My responsibilities in the university required me to do a lot of travelling, and these travel experiences taught me one very important thing: NEVER wear tight jeans for long distance trips. Tight jeans give us cramps in the lower abdomen, and worst, may lead to urinary tract infection. So, whenever I travel, I either wear skirts, tights or leggings. 

At first I decided to stay low key and make this look totally black and white, with a simple necklace and silver sandals, but I know the long travel will get on me. I know I will look all pale and haggard when I arrive, so these pops of colors will surely help deviate people's attention away from my stressed face. These pops of colors from the multi-colored necklace and bright blue flats also does not make the look monochromatic.

Plaid & Tights as a Breather

The (VERY) unpleasant visit of Typhoon Pablo caused a lot of devastations here in Dumaguete. It greatly saddens me to see the aftermath of the typhoon, and what's even sadder is the ill situation of the people in the most affected areas, like Compostela Valley and Davao Oriental. Nature is now really striking back! The least we can do is continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in those areas - that God will heal all the wounds in their bodies and the even bigger wounds in their hearts. 

On another note, things are going crazy around here lately, and I am caught in the middle of all the craziness! I haven't even communicated with or seen Jhet for what seems like a century already! OK, I'm exaggerating, but this has been the longest so far. Jhet? Hi, Jhet! 

So, here I am, taking a breather from all the craziness around me. I just don't know what to call this look, but this is for my random weekends - when I just feel like looking a tad different from all the regulars around.
